WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Compassion Ministries Thanksgiving Gala - Sunday, November 20th at 5PM. Our compassion ministries will be hosting a gala for all our volunteers and those they serve. This will be a semi-formal event.
No Service - Wednesday, November 23rd.
Office Closed - November 24th - 25th.
Community Outreach - Saturday, November 26th at 9:45AM. We will be going out and ministering to the homeless in our community. We will meet at the church and carpool to the location at 10AM. You can donate new socks and new/gentle used clean coats and blankets. We are excited for what God is going to do.
Turkey Bowl - Sunday, November 28th at 1PM. Encounter Youth's Turkey Bowl is back!
Bring a team or get put on a team when you arrive. Teams of 8.
Show up and cheer.
Bring your Thanksgiving leftovers to share.
Two hand touch.
Sleigh the 5K - Saturday, December 10th. Encounter Youth will be hosting a 5k to raise money for Speed the Light. More information to come. Sign up here.
Christmas Blessing - Sunday, December 18th - Patrick and Audrey Washburn are planting Heart Church in Stockdale Texas. They recently left their full-time ministry position in Austin, sold their home and moved to Patrick's hometown of Stockdale with a population under 1500. They have a heart for the rural church. They have an 18 month old son. They plan to launch Heart Church in early 2023. Please pick up a card from the boards in the lobby. Each card has household or grocery items on them. The cards in the solid gold envelopes are gifts for their son. Bring the items back during any service between now and Wednesday Dec. 14th.

TESTIFY! - God is moving in peoples lives and we want to hear about it! If you have a testimony about what God is doing throughout the year, fill out a card in the lobby or share with us on the Crossroads app.

Scripture: I Thess. 5:18- Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (NIV)
Prayer: Lord, may my life be a continual example of thankfulness to you.
Action Steps:
1. Start your day with thankfulness to God.
2. Everyday this month write down one new thing that you are thankful to God for.
3. Make an effort to express thankfulness to each person who is a significant part of your life.
