WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
XYA Nerf War - Monday, December 5th at 7PM. Our young adults will be meeting for a fun hangout after prayer. Bring your Nerf equipment.
Open Staff Prayer - Tuesday, December 6th at 9:30AM. On the first Tuesday of every month everyone is invited to join our pastoral staff as we pray for our families, church, and community.
Senior Game Time - Thursday, December 8th at 1PM. Our seniors will be meeting in the Southwing on Thursday for fellowship and boardgames.
Sleigh the 5K - Saturday, December 10th at 9AM. Encounter Youth will be hosting a 5k to raise money for Speed the Light. The cost is $25 and will be held at Armstrong Park (Kidsville). Sign up here.
Waxahachie Christmas Tour of Homes - Saturday, December 10th at 2PM. Our ladies ministry will be heading to Waxahachie for some holiday fun! Contact Barbara Elliot for more information. Sign up here.
Christmas Sweater Contest - Sunday, December 11th. Come next Sunday in your best/unique Christmas sweater for your chance at a prize!
Caleb's Christmas Lunch - Thursday, December 15th at 12PM. All seniors are invited to our Christmas lunch in the Southwing. We will cater Babe's Chicken. Bring a dessert only.
Christmas Blessing - Sunday, December 18th - Patrick and Audrey Washburn are planting Heart Church in Stockdale Texas. They recently left their full-time ministry position in Austin, sold their home and moved to Patrick's hometown of Stockdale with a population under 1500. They have a heart for the rural church. They have an 18 month old son. They plan to launch Heart Church in early 2023. Please pick up a card from the boards in the lobby. Each card has household or grocery items on them. The cards in the solid gold envelopes are gifts for their son. Bring the items back during any service between now and Wednesday Dec. 14th.

TESTIFY! - God is moving in peoples lives and we want to hear about it! If you have a testimony about what God is doing throughout the year, fill out a card in the lobby or share with us on the Crossroads app.

Scripture: I Thess. 5:18- Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (NIV)
Prayer: Lord, may my life be a continual example of thankfulness to you.
Action Steps:
1. Start your day with thankfulness to God.
2. Everyday this month write down one new thing that you are thankful to God for.
3. Make an effort to express thankfulness to each person who is a significant part of your life.
